 We know that your companion animals aren't just like members of your family, they are family!

 

The Pet Company has been caring for pets at home since 1989.   Over the years, we've had the opportunity to meet many wonderful furkids and their pet-parents.  Each and every one of them has found a special place in our hearts and we consider them all to be members of our own extended furry family.  We also understand how difficult it can be to leave our pets behind when we need to travel. And how reassuring it is to know that we’re leaving our pets in very capable hands.  That’s why we promise our clients that we’ll treat their pets as though they were our own - with lots of love and the highest quality of care provided by our trained staff of conscientious, dependable, experienced and compassionate employees.

 

Because we believe we are very much in partnership with you to provide the highest quality care for your pets, The Pet Company, Inc. is dedicated to ongoing training to continually build on our skills and experience in a variety of pet care related areas.  For this reason, we hire employees, rather than subcontractors, so that we can provide hands-on training, support and supervision for our staff during their assignments. We know that, although many of our sitters already have extensive backgrounds working closely with a variety of animals, there’s always more to learn.

 

We require all of our employees to complete the Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR course as soon as possible after joining our staff.

 

At The Pet Company, Inc. we also feel strongly that we should be a source of information to help our clients enhance the bond with their animal companions. Should you have any questions about training, behavior or other concerns with your pets, please don’t hesitate to let us know.   If we don’t know the answer, we’ll help you find it.

THE BENEFITS OF A PROFESSIONAL PET SITTER:                                                                       

 

 For your pets:

  • They are able to stay in their own environment, with access to their favorite sleeping areas and toys.

  • Feeding and walk schedules can be maintained at times similar to their usual routine.

  • While many animals do well at kennels, in home pet care can eliminate the stress experienced by some pets in a kennel environment.

  • Your pets will receive lots of attention and affection during our visits.

 

For you:

  • Mail and newspapers can be brought in daily.

  • Trash will be taken to the curb on your regular pick up day.

  • Window treatments and lights can be adjusted periodically to give your home a lived-in look.

  • House plants can be watered, if needed.

  • A walk-through of your home will be conducted daily to be sure that your home remains secure.

  • You'll return to a happy pet!

 
THE BENEFITS OF CHOOSING THE PET COMPANY, INC.                                                                                      

 

  • We are an employee staffed service - no subcontractors - so that we can provide training in Pet Company policies and procedures, supervision and accountability for our team members. 

  • Owner Becki Bradford is a Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR instructor.  All staff members must complete the Red Cross course as soon as possible when joining our team.  Team members also participate in educational opportunities for a variety of pet care related topics throughout the year at our quarterly staff meetings and special events.

  • Emergency, "in-house" back-up procedures are in place to ensure your pets are never left without care if your primary sitter is unable to complete your visits because of injury or illness.

  • Our online booking system provides a convenient way to book your service requests.  We re-confirm all requests to ensure accuracy.

  • With 20 years in the business, we WILL be here when you need us!

  • Looking for a gift for a pet lover? Give them a gift certificate for pet sitting services!  Just call our office to verify that they are in our service area and make payment arrangements by check or credit card.  We'll do the rest!
